Direct Support Professional; Caregiver​/DSW - Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, LA – DSW – (Sunday-Thursday) 11pm to 8:30am OVERNIGHT SHIFT & Saturday Shift (8am to 8pm)

Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide overnight care (Sun
- Thurs) 11pm to 8:30am & on Saturday the shift will be (8am to 8pm) for 2 young males in the Lafayette area. You will be assisting with 1 consumer while on shift. The consumers are wheelchair bound and needs full assistance. The candidate will be trained on how to operate their ceiling tracking system (Lift). This position is an in-home service.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in an environment with pets, as the consumers has animals.

• Working Cell Phone with Data Plan
• Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report and clean driving record
• Commitment to excellent client care
• Must have Patience, Compassion, Positive Attitude, and be a Team Player

• Light Housekeeping
• Assist with grooming
• Assist with nightly rotation with consumers.

$11 to $12 per hour (Plus Weekly Bonus)

Part-Time

Overnight Shift, Sun-Fri 11pm-8am & Saturday Shift 8am to 8pm

1 week on and 1 week off
