• Support both Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS/MT) and Medical Lab Technician (MLT) career pathways within the Cox Medical Center Branson laboratory.
• Medical Laboratory Scientists and Medical Technologists perform complex laboratory testing on blood and body fluids to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
• Monitor patient response to treatment, ensure result accuracy, troubleshoot laboratory instruments, and correlate clinical data to validate test findings.
• Provide guidance and oversight to laboratory personnel with lesser credentials and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts within the laboratory.
• Medical Lab Technicians perform laboratory testing with support and oversight from Medical Laboratory Scientists or Medical Technologists, identify and interpret test results, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate findings to appropriate clinical staff in a timely and professional manner.

• Required (MLS/MT):
  Bachelor’s Degree must be obtained within 90 days OR High School Diploma or equivalent with grandfathered status under CLIA regulations.
• Preferred:
  Completion of a medical technology program.
• Required (MLT):
  Associate’s Degree or completion of an accredited Medical Lab Technician program.

• MLS/MT:
  No prior experience required.
• MLT:
  Preferred one year of laboratory experience.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of management using clear verbal and written communication.
• Excellent time management, interpersonal, organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of current information technology systems and laboratory automation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Required (MLS/MT):
  Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist through AMT, ASCP, or ASCPi.
• Required (MLT):
  Certification as a Medical Lab Technician from a nationally recognized certifying agency or eligibility to sit for the exam at time of hire, with certification required within 90 days.
