The Physician Assistant (PA) works within the Cardiology Clinic to provide comprehensive patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician. This role includes conducting patient examinations, assisting with diagnosis and treatment planning, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and supporting ongoing cardiovascular care. The PA collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure high-quality, coordinated care while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, education, and continuity of care in an outpatient cardiology setting.
Education- Required:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Required:
No prior experience required.
- Self-motivated individual able to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong clinical expertise, communication, human relations, and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills and comfort working within electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to manage multiple patient interactions while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Required:
Missouri Physician Assistant license (must be obtained within 60 days of hire). - Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire. - Required:
Successful completion of all department-specific credentialing within the first 90 days of employment.
