Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

• Create and update treatment plans utilizing a variety of computer programs.
• Help to create a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment; apply medical and mental health procedures and techniques; demonstrates professional interactions with patients and maintains therapeutic boundaries.
• Perform clinical duties which may include obtaining patient vital signs, height and weight, administering vaccinations and tuberculin skin tests, performing infectious disease testing and blood draws.
• Attend all trainings, meetings, and committees as directed.

• BE LIST ELIGIBLE:
  Successfully complete the competitive State civil service exam pertaining to this classification at Medical Assistant Exam Bulletin, OR
• BE TRANSFER ELIGIBLE: MUST meet the minimum qualifications of the classification per DPA Rule 250, have current employment with the State of California in the same classification with permanent or probationary status or in a classification that is substantially the same with permanent or probationary status, OR
• BE REINSTATEMENT ELIGIBLE:
  Have obtained previous permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable.

Possession of a valid certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California to practice as a Medical Assistant.
