The Clinical Director of The Child Advocacy Center of Northeast Missouri (CAC) will provide clinical leadership and supervision for mental health staff, interns, and contracted therapists while ensuring the delivery of trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic services tailored to children and families impacted by abuse and trauma.
PrimaryJob Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Supervision & Staff Development
- Provide regular clinical supervision, case consultation, and professional development opportunities.
- Support therapists in building skills in trauma-focused and child-centered treatment models.
- Ensure all staff and contracted therapists maintain appropriate licensure, training, and continuing education.
- Oversee caseload management to ensure timely and effective care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide supervision and oversight for all staff within the Therapy Department.
- Develop and enhance therapeutic programming to meet community and client needs.
- Monitor outcomes and evaluate effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
- Ensure compliance with national accreditation standards, state regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Oversee therapeutic services to ensure program activities fulfill grant obligations and reporting criteria.
- Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation and case files for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide direct therapy services to children and families when appropriate, modeling best practices.
- Conduct assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning.
- Support crisis intervention and safety planning when needed.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (law enforcement, child protection, prosecutors, medical staff) to coordinate care for children and families.
- Act as a liaison with external providers, schools, and community partners.
- Participate in community outreach, trainings, and awareness initiatives related to child trauma and abuse.
- Develop and maintain relationships with universities to strengthen the CAC’s intern recruitment and outreach efforts.
- Attend and participate in agency Leadership Team meetings.
- Attend and participate in agency staff meetings.
- Attend and participate in agency board meetings, as needed.
- Assist in grant writing, reporting, and program evaluation.
- Contribute to strategic planning to expand and strengthen clinical services.
- Manage departmental budget and resource allocation for clinical programs.
Licensed (LCSW or LPC) practitioner holding a master's degree in counseling, psychology or social work required. Minimum 2 years providing therapy with training in a trauma-focused, evidence-based modality. Approved provider in insurance panel(s) is a plus.
