Cell culture technicians are scientific research and development professionals responsible for culturing various cell lines for the company's biotechnology products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining, cryopreserving, and cataloging various cell culture lines.
- Preparing cell culture media, reagents, and growth factors.
- Performing cell culture experiments according to established protocols.
- Maintaining thorough electronic records of cell culture data.
- Ensuring compliance with cGMP and ISO quality systems.
- Education:
a bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field. - Experience:
a minimum of one year of cell culture experience, with extensive experience in all aspects of mammalian cell culture preferred. - Skills:
essential skills include aseptic technique, solid understanding of cell biology and laboratory safety.
