A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist II
.

The role involves drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures. The Phlebotomist II communicates procedures to patients, maintains a safe and professional environment, and supports confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. The position may be placed in a doctor’s office, a patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.

Under the direction of the area supervisor, you will perform daily activities accurately and on time, maintain a safe environment, and perform verification of patient demographics/initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to ensure proper labeling and identity. You will maintain required records and demonstrate a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public.

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection in a clinical or forensic setting following established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and initials; confirm tubes are labeled in the patient’s presence and that the label matches the patient.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation; uphold patient confidentiality and data integrity.
• Present a professional, trustful environment and communicate procedures clearly to patients.
• Collaborate with team and leadership to ensure process excellence and safety.

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexible availability based on staffing needs (including weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime).
• Commitment to policies & procedures, dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence principles.
• Good judgment and ability to make decisions based on established procedures.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with short notice.
• Strong customer focus and ability to communicate openly with peers, supervisors and patients.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• 1-3 years phlebotomy experience (pediatric, geriatric, capillary collections); 2 years in a Patient Service Center preferred.

Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour. Pay range is based on factors including education, experience, location, duties, certifications, etc.
