Position SummaryThe Job Coach provides direct, community-based support to participants, helping them develop vocational, social, and independent living skills.
This position requires professional competence, emotional resilience and physical capability to work in dynamic, community-based environments
, which may include:
Assisting participants with developmental, physical, or behavioral challenges.
Supporting personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, bathing, and medication administration, as required.
Implementing individualized goals and vocational objectives in accordance with IDT recommendations and person-centered planning.
Ensuring participant safety, dignity, and protection of individual rights during all activities.
Candidates must understand that this role has inherent emotional and physical demands and requires full capability to perform essential job functions safely and effectively.
Primary DutiesFacilitate meaningful community experiences including vocational, transportation, safety, social, recreational, and skill-building activities.
Implement measurable participant goals in accordance with IDT recommendations and person-centered planning.
Provide on-the-job training and support to ensure stability and growth in participant employment placements.
Build and maintain professional relationships with employers; communicate progress to supervisors.
Track and summarize participant progress, including , monthly summaries, and incident/behavior reports.
Attend mandatory staff meetings, workshops, and in-service trainings.
Support participants’ personal care needs as required.
Provide physical assistance in accordance with Behavioral Intervention Plans and Crisis Intervention protocols, including lifting, escorting, or emergency interventions when necessary.
Follow weekly schedules for community-based vocational and training activities.
Ensure participant safety and protection of their rights and dignity at all times.

Any work-related injury or illness must be reported promptly and truthfully to a supervisor.

Submitting knowingly false, fraudulent, or intentionally misleading reports
—including fabricated or exaggerated workers’ compensation claims—is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination, and may be referred to the employer’s insurer or law enforcement.
Employees are expected to cooperate fully with any investigation of reported incidents or claims.
Minimum Qualifications18 years of age at the time of hire.
DOJ criminal record clearance.
Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record and at least two years of driving experience.
Safe and reliable vehicle with current, adequate auto insurance for transporting participants.
CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of hire.
COVID vaccine or documented medical/religious exemption.
Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Benefits & Compensation- Hourly Rate: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
