PHARMACIST - Per Diem Varied

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy the Pharmacist provides drug information and assists physicians and nursing staff in providing appropriate drug therapy for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The Pharmacist compounds, prepares, mixes, manufactures, and dispenses medicines and preparations, and oversees medications prepared by pharmacy technicians. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy, the staff pharmacist may be required to perform the function of pharmacist in charge.

The hospital began as Corona Community Hospital in 1965 and later merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 to become the Corona Regional Medical Center. The 238‑bed community hospital network consists of a 160‑bed acute care hospital and a 78‑bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers, and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing over 40 specialties.

• Minimum Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience as a pharmacist or completion of a Health System Residency.

  Current California Board of Pharmacy – Registered Pharmacist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification (AHA) within 60 days of hire.
