Job Description: CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER (full-time)

Responsibilities- Perform high‑quality transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and, when required, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) under physician direction.
- Acquire, optimize, and interpret cardiac ultrasound studies with attention to image quality and patient safety.
- Prepare and process patient studies for interpretation by cardiologists and radiologists; ensure accurate labeling and documentation.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, including calibration, quality control, and routine troubleshooting.
- Perform vascular ultrasound studies as needed (carotid and peripheral assessments).
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care.
- Exhibit exceptional patient interaction, explaining procedures, providing comfort measures, and post‑procedure instructions.
- Assist with cross‑training and mentorship for junior staff and new graduates; adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., PCI, JCAHO, ACR, ARDMS/CCI cert requirements).
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR/EHR system.
- ARDMS or equivalent credential in Adult Echocardiography (CCI, ARDMS, ARRT); vascular certification a plus.
- Proven competency in echocardiography with knowledge of cardiac anatomy, pathophysiology, and Doppler techniques.
- Ability to operate ultrasound equipment, optimize imaging, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong communication, professionalism, and patient‑care skills.
- Ability to work in hospital, clinic, and mobile settings with willingness to travel within the service area.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer with a cardiovascular background.
- Experience with TEE and transesophageal imaging.
- Prior experience in vascular ultrasound.
- New graduates with demonstrated clinical training or internship in echocardiography are welcome to apply.
