Clinical Pharmacist Manager

Willamette Valley Cancer Institute in Eugene, OR is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist Manager to support oncology clinical services, research programs, and pharmacy operations. The role requires expertise in specialty retail, IV admixture, and oncology medicine. Position is full‑time with a pay range of $150,000–$220,000 and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and statistical analysis of medical and scientific evidence to support disease management guidelines and pharmacoeconomic comparisons.
• Develop pharmacoeconomic models for cancer treatment alternatives.
• Provide clinical support for research initiatives.
• Oversee pharmacy services and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Manage clinical pharmacist tasks and provide direct oversight of Clinical/Med Keeper pharmacists.
• Oversee REMS compliance and audits.
• Review and approve new drug updates, including clinical pharmacist write‑ups and Med Keeper oversight.
• Update and oversee admixture mixing guidelines.
• Serve as liaison for the prior authorization team.
• Establish departmental goals, policies, and procedures; prepare budgets and monitor resource allocation.
• Manage drug purchasing systems, inventory control, billing procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations; ensure proper orientation and ongoing education.
• Act as an educational resource for medical staff and participate in teaching and in‑service programs.
• Collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and maintain confidentiality of patient and staff information.
• Perform all required pharmacist and technician functions as needed.
• Manage activities of pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and current state licensure.
• Minimum ten years of experience as a registered pharmacist.
• Five years of clinical or clean room pharmacist experience.
• Two years of prior leadership experience.
• Prefer prior oncology experience.
• Prior experience in pharmacy management.
• Must possess current pharmacist licensure in the state of practice.
