Base wage starting at $28; increased based on experience.

Responsibilities:

Organize work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling, sorting specimens, checking labeling, logging specimens, arranging reports for delivery, and maintaining clean work surfaces.

Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and troubleshooting, calibrating equipment using approved procedures, and monitoring quality control measures.

Serve as a technical resource by participating in staff training, answering questions from colleagues, engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Maintain patient confidence by keeping laboratory information confidential.

Serve and protect the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies, and legal requirements.

Enhance laboratory services and hospital reputation by taking ownership of new requests and exploring opportunities to add value.

Provide quality and timely results across multiple laboratory areas, including Blood Bank, Coagulation, Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Immunology.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of previous laboratory experience.
Must be a licensed Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or equivalent, or be enrolled in an accredited MT/MLT program.
