Position Summary:

The Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)/Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) specializes in using non-invasive equipment to perform ASE-guided ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analysis of the heart and related structures, in an IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) accredited facility, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases. Responsible for being well versed in defects and diseases of the heart and knowing how to clinically apply echocardiography to detect those diseases/defects.

Responsible for managing all assigned supplies and equipment on the unit and promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonographer Program.

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) or as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) in the state of Missouri within 6 months of hire.
