Willis Knighton Health System is seeking a medical assistant to work in our Pulmonary clinic. The MA will provide care to patients under the care of a physician.
- Assessing the health status of patients and collaborating with the nursing staff and physicians to establish care, contribute to the planning of appropriate nursing interventions;
- Assessment of patients' daily living needs, documentation, and returning/answering phone calls in a timely and professional manner;
- Assist with preauthorization, schedule tests and procedures;
- Work closely with insurance companies.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 pm.
