We are seeking a highly motivated researcher, who will actively engage and contribute to discovery efforts to support the Johnson & Johnson Neuropsychiatry strategy. This individual will be responsible for advancing research initiatives and support pipeline programs. This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research and drug development to improve outcomes for patients suffering from psychiatric diseases.
Key ResponsibilitiesConducts and interprets assigned biochemical, cellular and molecular biology experiments, and creatively develops and troubleshoots experimental protocols.
Prepares and records experimental reports that include detailed methods and materials, raw data, data analyses and graphs, and conclusions in an electronic laboratory notebook.
Maintains current laboratory equipment and operates analytical and other instruments.
Follows laboratory safety and data integrity guidelines.
Presents experimental results during group and project team meetings.
Develops a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting open communication.
Master’s degree, OR a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology or a similar field is required.
Proven understanding and experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques, cell culture (primary or stem cell-derived neurons or glia) and biochemical assays.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Critical thinking and analytical skills to interpret complex information.
Problem solving skills, with the ability to identify and address challenges proactively.
Expertise in Neuroscience, especially in Neuropsychiatry.
Knowledge of drug development and pharmacology principles.
Experience with in vitro modeling of brain disorders
Experience with in vivo techniques
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $76,000 to $121,900.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
