In this role, the MA will perform back office functions such as assisting in the examination and treatment of patients, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs—including pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height—and recording information in the patient’s chart or EMR. The position requires a positive office image: smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training usually indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- CPR Certification.
- Proficiency with PC/Windows.
- Medical coding proficiency.
- Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
