Float Pool - Mercy South

Full Time - 36 hours/week

6:30a - 6:30p or 6:30p - 6:30a

All Care Companion roles are a flat rate of $15.00/hr

Under the supervision of an RN (Registered Nurse) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), provides close observation of patients. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Promotes the therapeutic environment and the efficiency of the nursing team. Can provide safe patient transport throughout the facility as directed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Provide close observation of patients under supervision of nursing staff.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Promote the therapeutic environment and support an efficient nursing team.
• Provide safe patient transport throughout the facility as directed.
• Perform duties in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPCT certification or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.
• Other:
  Working conditions and physical requirements include the ability to sit for long periods while remaining alert; occasional standing and walking.
• Preferred
  
  Certifications:
  
  BLS (optional to obtain after hire).
