Sobio — California Licensed Therapist (California)

• Active, independent California license in one of the following:
• LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor)
• LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
• License is current, active, and in good standing (no probation or restrictions).
• Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099) with own tax/benefit obligations.
• 3 years of experience in clinical therapy

• Practice within jurisdiction
  : only treat clients physically in California (or other states where you also hold an active license).
• Care delivery: provide structured, evidence‑based therapy via secure video; optional messaging for coordination and follow‑ups.
• Set expectations: publish availability; communicate your between‑session response practices.
• Risk management: assess risk;
  Sobio is not for emergency/crisis care — direct clients to 988/911 and local resources as needed.
• Collaboration: partner with the client’s sober coach (as applicable) while maintaining appropriate clinical boundaries.
• Documentation: maintain clear, compliant notes and treatment plans per CA law and professional ethics.
• Privacy & security: protect PHI; use a private space, reliable internet, and secure devices.

• Session format: 50‑minute scheduled video sessions; optional secure messaging.
• Setup: quiet/private environment; camera, mic, and reliable broadband.
• Professional liability insurance: required or obtained before start.

• Weekly, 50‑minute video therapy sessions with a licensed therapist (scheduled; no on‑demand therapy).
• Daily sober‑coach accountability between sessions (coaches help track habits, triggers, and wins).
• Therapist leads care; coach supports change. Together you adjust the plan based on real‑world signals each week.
