** Job Summary
** The Medical Assistant is an unlicensed healthcare professional who performs routine technical services within the medical practice settings under the supervision of the physicians and medical staff. This role is also responsible for supporting the front and back office clinic operations.
This Per Diem position will be supporting some of our specialty clinics: pulmonary, GI, sleep clinic, but could be cross-trained to cover other specialties as needed.
The qualified applicant will have experience with both front and back office duties, be comfortable with floating, and be able to work 4 shifts per 2-week pay period (approx. 2 shifts per week). Preferred days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Shifts are 8 hours, and can vary between the hours of 8am and 7pm.

** Minimum $22.00 Midpoint $22.00 Maximum $23.00

Minimum one (1) year of experience in front and back office pediatric medical office/clinic setting.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Graduate of a vocational school having successfully completed requirements for MA.

Knowledge and ability to provide appropriate patient care depending on age, cultural, and spiritual needs. Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards. Advance care through development of new ideas and technology. Promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission, understanding, and exceeding patient and family expectations. Effectively solve patient care and operational problems. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job.
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area. Preferred:
Bilingual in English/ Spanish.
