This position will support the Central Region comprising the Westwood and Santa Monica campus areas, primarily the Westwood Campus, providing patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes on‑call, holiday, weekend, and rotating shifts as determined by the manager.

• Provide age‑appropriate assessment and interventions to meet the needs of patients and families.
• Obtain, evaluate and use information from the patient requisition, medical records, and referring physician; correlate with acquired images.
• Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology.
• Use independent judgement to produce diagnostic images of human anatomy using diagnostic ultrasound systems for referring providers and interpreting physicians.
• Extend courtesy to patients, family members, visitors and co‑workers through the “World Class Practices” Service Standards.

• 1–2 years of experience within a hospital/acute care setting.
• Maintain active RDMS certification in one specialty (e.g., Abdomen or OB‑GYN).
• Graduate of a CAAHAP accredited ultrasound program is strongly preferred.
• Salary Range: $58.74–$77.50 per hour.

• Minimum of four years of prior experience within a hospital/acute care setting.
• Maintain active RDMS certification in three specialties:
  Abdomen, OB‑GYN, and RVT.
• Proficient in Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Pediatric, and Vascular sonography; interventional procedures also required.
• Graduate of a CAAHAP accredited ultrasound school is strongly preferred.
• Salary Range: $65.55–$79.93 per hour.

• Staff Ultrasound Technologist:
  - At least 1 year of acute care (hospital) experience (required).
  - RDMS credential in one specialty (Abdomen or OBGYN) (required).
• Senior Ultrasound Technologist (external candidates):
  - 4 years of prior acute care (hospital) experience (required).
  - RDMS credential in Abdomen, OBGYN and RVT (required).
• BLS/CPR Certificate (required).
  - Graduate of a CAAHAP ultrasound program (strongly preferred).
  - AAS or higher in Medical Sonography (preferred).
  - Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner.
  - Ability to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately.
  - Ability to use independent decision making, prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks to completion within allotted time.
  - Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness.
  - Basic typing skills to input data into RIS and HIS systems.
  - Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses.
