JOB SUMMARY:

The Program Director will report to the CEO and Clinical Director and oversee the 6 bed Social Rehabilitation Residential Program in Castaic, CA. They will oversee the day to day operations in the home, supports direct care staff in their role and provides clinical support in the home. This position ensures compliance with Title 17 and Title 22 regulations while providing leadership and oversight to staff, residents, and program operations.

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for successfully managing the daily operations of the home
  • Preparation of the facility’s budget and management of expenditures according to the facility’s budget limitations.
  • Assessment of the facility operations and programs; and reporting to the licensee and making recommendations to address identified problems.
  • Recruitment, appointment, training, scheduling and evaluation and termination of staff.
  • Review of complaints made by residents or their authorized representatives and the action taken to handle the complaints
  • Oversees the completion of state required paperwork along with the orientation of potential residents, family members or representatives.
  • Organizes, plans and implements 7-day training schedule for Direct Care staff covering: individual consumer’s IPP, explanation of diagnoses and medical histories review
  • Communicate effectively through the chain of command to the licensee concerning the operation of the facility
  • Oversee the daily clinical needs of all clients in the facility
  • Oversee and carry out the overall treatment program and management of the facility (as authorized by the licensee) and under the direction of the Clinical Director
  • Remain on premises of home the assigned number of hours necessary to manage and administer the treatment program of the facility in compliance with California Code of Regulations.
  • Educate and train the Direct Care Staff on all issues related to client treatment including changes in the treatment plan, concerns or additional monitoring or tracking they deem necessary for clinical purposes.
  • Provide and document a specific plan of supervision and ensure that at least 20 hours of in-service training for all BHTs per year are completed
  • Ensure that the staff provides support to the clients in the planning, preparing and serving of meals and cleaning of the facility
  • Make arrangements for clients to attend available community programs as needed and appropriate taking into account any accommodations for disabilities
  • Support Clinical Director in client-related issues and case management including treatment team meetings, as well as, notifications and coordination for attendance for clients and their representatives to participate in their assessment and treatment plans.
  • Complete weekly clinical reviews and audits of all progress notes, and monthly summaries for each client
  • Follow and enforce the Mindful Lemon Policy which covers general duties, controlled medications, storage, and documentation, medication policy for new admits, and disposal of medications
