Summary:
** Perform clinical laboratory procedures
** Job Requirements, Prerequisites and
Essential Functions:
** EDUCATION Must have a BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, or other related science.
EXPERIENCE Minimum of completed pre-licensure training in California State Department Public Health accredited training program Minimum of three years of general laboratory experience in a hospital or acute care setting or three (3) continuous years with Marin General Hospital.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS Lic Clinical Lab Scientist Required at hire Basic Life Support Preferred at hire Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire PREREQUISITE SKILLS
1. Ability to work in teams in which all members are mutually accountable
2. Ability to work collaboratively with team members, hospital staff, patients, and physicians
3. Willingness and ability to be trained in more than one laboratory discipline
4. Capable of organizing multiple tasks, using time management skills and attention to detail
5. Basic computer knowledge with the ability to do data entry and retrieval
6. Knowledge of blood/body fluid precautions
7. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
8. Ability to read, speak, write, understand and follow English verbal and written instructions
9. Demonstrated technical proficiency 10. Ability to delegate and direct others in the performance of laboratory procedures 11. Must demonstrate the desire to further their knowledge in laboratory science and the willingness to accept additional responsibilities such as but not limited to staff development (e.g. training, in-service, internships, new technology evaluation, assist in test validation, teaching, resource person, etc.).

The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on the individual’s skills, experience, internal/market equity factors, and qualifications. This posted minimum and maximum range represents the minimum and maximum of what we reasonably expect to compensate for the position. Furthermore, all compensation decisions are ultimately determined in accordance with our compensation philosophy.
