* Job Summary:

** Child Therapist**, where you’ll provide specialized mental health services to children and adolescents facing emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.

As a
** Child Therapist**, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help children build resilience, improve coping skills, and foster emotional well-being. This role requires strong collaboration with families, schools, and other support systems to ensure a holistic approach to care.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Provide
** individual, group, and family therapy
** for children and adolescents in various settings.
* Conduct
** comprehensive assessments
** to identify emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns.
* Develop and implement
** individualized treatment plans
** tailored to each child’s needs.
* Utilize
** evidence-based interventions**, such as play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care.
* Collaborate with
** families, schools, and community resources
** to create a supportive network for each child.
* Participate in
** clinical staffing/treatment meetings
** to discuss client progress and treatment recommendations.
* Maintain accurate and timely
** documentation
* * in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
* Assist in
** crisis intervention and safety planning
** as needed.
* Provide
** education and support
** to families on mental health topics, parenting strategies, and behavioral management techniques.
* Stay updated on the latest
** child therapy best practices
** through continuing education and training.
** Education and/or Experience

Qualifications:

*** Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
* Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Missouri.
* Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a clinical setting preferred.
* Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and behavioral interventions.

*** Strong ability to engage and connect with children and their families.
* Knowledge of diagnostic criteria related to child mental health concerns.
* Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate interventions.
* Experience with collaborating with schools, social services, and healthcare professionals.
* Proficiency in case management, documentation, and treatment planning.
