Lake Regional is looking for a Licensed Cardiac Sonographer who is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound tests according to the physician's ordersto perform echocardiograms to evaluate different aspects of the heart, such as chamber size, valve function, and blood flow.

• Performs all requested Ultrasound examinations as ordered by the attending physician including transthoracic echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, stress tests, etc.
• Prepares preliminary reports and contacts referring physicians when required
• Coordinates with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided
• Address patient problems as they arise and make decisions to appropriately resolve the issue
• Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as required
• Assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients in the ultrasound area
• Report equipment failure to the appropriate supervisor or staff member
• Must be familiar with basic cardiac conditions in order to recognize and identify any abnormalities
• Review patient files, schedule appointments, explain procedures to patients, and maintain equipment

• Annual influenza required
• Active certification by (ARDMS) or (RDCS)
• Current compliance with required Continuing Medical Education (CME)
