JC-510194 - Injury Case Management Specialist (Analyst II)

Salary: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per Month

The Analyst II reports directly to the Supervisor I and is responsible for representing the Department’s managerial interests in workers’ compensation injury claims and retirement issues. The Analyst II coordinates the handling of disability cases with a variety of other state agencies and facilitates prompt and proper resolution. Please see the attached duty statement for the essential functions of this position.

The Analyst I classification may also be considered.

Working Conditions

Mainly office setting; may require occasional travel for training and/or meetings.

The established working hours for this position are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum requirements are described in the Class Specification.

Desirable Qualifications
  • An extensive background in California workers' compensation, medical personnel actions, or public employees' retirement law
  • Knowledge of injury and illness case management programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and highly motivated
  • Professional attitude and demeanor
  • Well-developed analytical, written, and oral communication skills
  • Above-average personal computer skills (competence with Microsoft Word and Excel desirable)
