As described in Government Code section 14460 and 14110.1, the Independent Office of Audits and Investigations (IOAI) is a statutorily independent office that conducts oversight of Caltrans, including audits and investigations. The Inspector General, appointed by the Governor, is vested with full authority to exercise a full scope, independent, and objective audit and investigation program. The Independent Office of Audits and Investigations is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Senior Management Auditor.

Under the supervision of the Supervising Management Auditor, the incumbent plans, organizes, and directs staff responsible for performing operational and performance audits of the California Department of Transportation and external entities that receive transportation funding. In addition, the incumbent is required to provide leadership, project management, guidance, coaching, supervision, and training of staff. Incumbent must be willing to travel. The position exists in Sacramento.

• Your demonstrated knowledge of and ability to perform audits in accordance with auditing standards.
• Demonstrated experience in effectively leading, supervising, and guiding diverse teams of professionals on complex audits.
• Your ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management and external agencies.
