Job Description And Duties

ANALYST I (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) - INLAND EMPIRE DISTRICT / RIVERSIDE COUNTY / LAKE PERRIS STATE RECREATION AREA
The reporting location for this position is the District Administrative building within Lake Perris State Recreation Area, 17801 Lake Perris Drive, Perris, CA, 92571.
This position will work under the supervision of the District's Chief Ranger.
We are looking for a highly motivated and independent person to join our State Parks team. The Public Safety Analyst I will be responsible for assisting the Public Safety Analyst II in supporting the entire Inland Empire District's Public Safety program. The position will have various duties to include working within various programs and applications such as the electronic records management system, citation system, and accounting system.

The Analyst I will also work closely with State Park Peace Officers to procure required equipment and other supplies, assist with radio and telecomm management, and assist the Chief Ranger with managing the Public Safety budget. The position's schedule is based off park operations with a heavy emphasis during the Spring and Summer months.

This position requires regular travel between park units and occasional off-site locations to support program operations. Duties are performed in both office and off-site settings and may include site visits, meetings, trainings, coordinating pickup and delivery of equipment, and processing District Attorney packets. Regular travel is required to effectively carry out assigned responsibilities and meet operational needs.

Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

Working Conditions

Office environment with travel throughout the district as needed. Daily and frequent use of personal computer, copy machines, office phone, and other typical office functions. Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Work environment may have exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, elevations, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Occasional travel may also be required for training purposes.
