Under the supervision of a Senior Environmental Scientist Supervisor, the Associate Environmental Planner will assess the impacts of complex transportation projects on biological resources and prepare documentation for appropriate environmental approvals, including mitigation measures and permits in compliance with CEQA, NEPA, and other state and federal laws. This includes word processing, research, writing, and reviewing environmental documents of a complex nature.
Under the direction of a Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisor), the Environmental Planner (NS) assists in coordinating and performing environmental planning, analysis, and evaluation work for projects of lesser complexity. Duties include researching information, analyzing potential environmental effects, reviewing project design documents, and preparing environmental documents of less complex nature.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State-owned or leased vehicle.
