Under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator I, the Senior Accounting Officer (Specialist) independently performs the more difficult Final Voucher analytical duties pertaining to the final cost accounting and reporting of Local (Federal Funded) and Capital (State Funded) projects. The Officer is responsible for responding to local project audits, managing and monitoring the Final Voucher email inbox, and ensuring the safeguarding of assets and compliance with fiscal and accounting policies applicable to the position.
Eligibility& Examination
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Senior Accounting Officer (Specialist) exam. Applicants who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment must be on the state examination list to be eligible. Special Requirements- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
- College transcripts and cover letter are required.
