Position Summary
Police Officers perform general law enforcement duties including patrol, investigations, traffic enforcement, community engagement, and campus safety operations. Officers are expected to exercise sound judgment, professionalism, and a service-oriented approach consistent with CSU values and CSUCI Police Department policies. Assignments may include patrol, special events, investigations, traffic enforcement, and participation in campus-wide safety initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications (Summary) Applicants must meet California Government Code §1031 requirements and applicable POST regulations. This recruitment is intended for experienced candidates, including those who possess one of the following:

  • California POST Basic Certificate
  • California POST Academy Completion Certificate
  • POST-issued California Basic Course Waiver

Additional qualifications, background investigation, medical and psychological evaluations are required prior to appointment.

Salary & Appointment

  • Salary: $8,069 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Appointment:
    Full-time, sworn position
