This position will be located at the Northeast Regional Office, 1709 Prospect Drive, Macon, Missouri.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and conduct engineering‑level water pollution compliance inspections, sanitary sewer overflow inspections, pretreatment inspections and environmental investigations at permitted and unpermitted facilities in the Northeast Region.
  • Prepare documentation that is timely and accurate (reports, correspondence, photographs, data entry, and forms) and conduct follow‑up work for timely compliance.
  • Perform monitoring and sampling, as needed.
  • Provide compliance and technical assistance to the regulated community, and general assistance to the public, on water pollution requirements, both in the office and onsite.
  • Conduct emergency response to situations that require immediate action, including outside regular work hours.
  • Perform other related work as assigned.

Equivalent To Those Typically Gained By

  • A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline and 0‑4 years of relevant experience.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination is preferred. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
