Overview

Build the System. Drive Growth. Own the Numbers. Saleshandy is a global SaaS company with $2.5M+ ARR, racing toward $5M and beyond. We don’t want someone to just close books. We want a finance operator who builds systems, enables decisions, and owns outcomes.

This is a core leadership role. You’ll work directly with the CEO to build a high-leverage finance function from scratch - clean, fast, automated.

You will take full charge of everything in Finance - accounting, budgeting, compliance, profitability, reporting. Not support. Not backend. A core operating system for the business.

You will build a real-time, always-on finance layer that powers decisions - not after-the-fact MIS.

• Build clean, automated financial systems
• Enforce discipline across every rupee spent
• Ensure every metric - CAC, COGS, margins - is available live, not later
• Own all aspects of Finance: accounting, budgeting, compliance, profitability, reporting
• Deliver a real-time finance layer that enables decision-making

If something breaks in finance, it’s on you. If something works in finance, it’s because of you.

• Full control:
  All payments, banking, and budgets are routed through you.
• High leverage:
  You work with founders, product, GTM, ops - no silos.

• Goal 1:
  Budget Ownership by All Teams (90 Days)
  Roll out lean budgets, variance reviews, and real-time dashboards. Target:
• Goal 2:
  Real-Time Product-Level Metrics (120 Days)
  Enable CAC, COGS, and profit margin visibility per product - without manual work.
• Goal 3:
  Build the Finance Engine (180 Days)
  Automate reporting. Publish board-style decks by 10th each month. Reduce manual tasks by 40%.

• Quick Audit:
  Review current systems, risks, and hygiene in the first 30 days.
• Own Payments & Controls:
  No transaction, payout, or spend without your sign-off.
• Compliance Hygiene:
  Bulletproof systems for GST, TDS, PF/ESIC, ROC, payroll, and IT returns.
• Fix Recognition + Matching:
  Clean SaaS revenue logic, synced with Chartmogul.
• Cross-Function Finance:
  Make finance central to GTM, product, and HR decisions.
• Documentation:
  Codify all workflows, SOPs, and approval logic into a single wiki.
• Cost Cuts:
  Run sprints to cut 10-15% waste in tools, infra, and vendor spends.
• AI & Automation:
  Use tools to automate repeatable work. Pilot → scale fast.
• Org Blueprint:
  Design how finance scales at $5M ARR - tools, roles, cadences.
