What We Do

Our Finance Intern will work in a program designed to help you gain experience and develop the technology, professional and interpersonal skills to use throughout your career. First American Interns work in a corporate environment within the Financial/Title Industry—balanced with intern-specific activities, executive level presentations and networking opportunities—while under the close supervision and guidance of a manager and/or mentor. You will be assigned significant work assignments to support a specific business function within Accounting and Finance.

During your internship, you will get the opportunity to add value to the team, in a hands-on environment.

• Gain handsd-on experience with monthnd close activities and financial reporting
• Gain knowledge of commercial trial balance
• Support quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes
• Build and refine dynamic financial models in Excel
• Assist with capital expenditure tracking, analysis, and reporting
• Partner cross functionally with teams such as Sales, IT, and Operations
• Contribute to special projects, including adhoc analysis and reporting

• College/University students enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, Accounting or Finance majors, with 0-2 years of work experience
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications. Finance internship will require strength in MS Excel
• Comfortable working with large sets of data
• An interest and willingness to learn about the Mortgage, Real Estate, Financial, Title Insurance or related industries
• The ability to solve problems, be detailed oriented and be conscientious about all work completed
• An ingrained concern for the customer and representing our Company in the best professional manner as possible
• The potential to excel in the following competencies:
  Communication, Customer Focus, Ethics & Integrity, Teamwork & Adaptability, Productivity & Initiative
• Outstanding interpersonal skills

Pay Range: $15.37 - $20.49 Hourly

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
