The Strategic Finance Manager owns financial modeling, long‑range planning, and capital analysis to support executive decision‑making and investor engagement. This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and leadership, translating complex business realities into clear financial narratives.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Modeling & Planning
Build and own bottom‑up financial models covering revenue, costs, cash flow, and unit economics
Develop scenario, sensitivity, and downside models to support strategic decisions
Lead annual planning, reforecasting, and long‑range planning (3–5 year outlooks)
Evaluate new initiatives, pricing changes, investments, and partnerships
Prepare investor, board, and lender materials (models, decks, metrics, FAQs)
Support fundraising, capital structure analysis, and valuation work
Partner with leadership on capital allocation and runway management
Act as a key finance point of contact for select investor interactions (as required)
Partner with Product, GTM, and Operations teams to assess financial impact of decisions
Define and track key performance metrics tied to growth, efficiency, and scale
Turn ambiguous problems into clear financial insights and recommendations
Improve financial processes, tools, and data quality
Ensure alignment between strategy, operating plans, and financial outcomes
Maintain high standards for accuracy, clarity, and timeliness
Accounting, bookkeeping, or statutory compliance ownership
Payroll processing or transactional finance work
Pure reporting without strategic context
Passive analysis without decision ownership
Experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, PE, VC, or consulting
Strong hands‑on experience with complex financial models
Comfort working with senior leadership and investors
Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments
Excellent business judgment and written/verbal communication skills
Advanced Excel / Sheets proficiency; familiarity with BI tools a plus
MBA or equivalent experience preferred (not mandatory)
