Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Corporate Payroll to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare and process regular supplemental and off cycle payrolls and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Collect review and code timecards and expense reports in line with policies and applicable regulations.
- Perform payroll related account reconciliations and provide clear support for entries shared with accounting.
- Prepare and reconcile periodic quarterly and year end payroll reports including taxes wages and required filings.
- Respond to payroll inquiries research discrepancies and explain procedures to employees and managers.
- Bring hands on experience processing payroll in an automated system across multiple pay cycles.
- Understand federal and state wage and hour rules and apply them to daily payroll activities.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency with spreadsheets reporting and reconciliation tasks.
- Communicate clearly with cross functional teams and external parties while maintaining professionalism.
- Manage sensitive information with discretion and handle multiple deadlines with accuracy.
- Reconcile payroll benefits and payroll tax accounts and provide organized backup for reviews.
- Prepare year end statements and support reporting needs such as W2 forms and workers compensation summaries.
- Assist users with system related questions and help resolve processing issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain thorough documentation of payroll procedures and support continuous improvement of workflows.
- Exhibit strong customer service skills and a problem solving mindset when addressing employee requests.
