Payroll Clerk

Description

We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our client's team in Chesterfield, Missouri. In this role, you will manage payroll operations for both internal staff and clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to handle complex payroll processes.

Duties:

+ Oversee payroll operations for both internal staff and clients

+ Administer 401(k) contributions and coordinate health insurance renewals

+ Conduct final reviews of client payrolls prior to delivery or direct deposit

+ Process payroll using various software platforms, including Quick Books

+ Maintain employee payroll records and manage deductions

+ Administer garnishments, child support, and other with holdings

+ Prepare and file federal and state payroll tax deposits and returns (e.g., EFTPS, state portals)

+ Process W-2s, 1099s, and 1095s, including electronic filing via IRS and BSO

+ Ensure quarterly and year-end reporting accuracy for clients

+ Research and resolve complex payroll inquiries and compliance issues

Requirements

Requirements:

+ 3+ years of payroll processing experience

+ General accounting knowledge

+

Experience with payroll software as well as accounting software

+ Strong Excel proficiency (formulas, lookups)

+

Experience with 1099/W-2 compliance and reporting

+ Strong attention to detail and communication skills
