Business Unit Controller

We are seeking a dynamic Business Unit Controller to oversee the financial performance and operational efficiency of a manufacturing-focused business unit. This role leads financial reporting, monthly close, compliance, and profitability analysis while partnering closely with operations leadership to drive strategic decision-making.

• Lead the preparation, review, and accuracy of all financial reports to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the monthly close process, ensuring timely and reliable financial data.
• Conduct financial and profitability analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory analysis, and resource optimization efforts.
• Provide guidance on compliance, audit matters, and regulatory requirements across the business unit.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of three accounting professionals.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of accounting experience, including full financial statement management across multi‑location environments.
• Experience with foreign currency accounting a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts without jargon.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and prior experience with integrated ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to assess financial data, identify issues, and develop sound conclusions.
• Proven track record of leadership, staff development, and adherence to organizational policies.
