Financial Manager, Financial Reporting
About the Role
As our Financial Controller in Amsterdam, you will lead the company's controlling function-driving financial accuracy, ensuring strong internal controls, and delivering the insights needed for sound decision-making. You will oversee budgeting, cash flow management, performance analysis, compliance, and the month-end close, ensuring the integrity of all financial data.
Beyond day-to-day operations, you will support audits, evaluate commercial agreements, and partner with leadership to strengthen financial discipline and operational efficiency. This is a full‑time (40‑hour) position that requires presence in the office 4‑days per week, reporting directly to our Global Finance Leader in the U.S.
What You’ll Do Financial Planning & Analysis- Prepare and manage the annual budget, monitor financial performance, and deliver regular financial reports and insights to the executive team.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure long‑term financial stability.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement cost‑control measures to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage cash flow and provide weekly cash flow reporting.
- Reconcile financial records regularly to ensure accuracy, integrity, and strong financial analysis across all transactions.
- Facilitate the month‑end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements, including tax filings, audits, and VAT.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls, including processes to prevent duplicate invoice entries, in partnership with the Accounts Payable team.
- Provide oversight and guidance on financial controls to ensure consistent adherence to company procedures.
- Collaborate with the executive team to support and execute strategic plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, to support the company’s financial needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (RC or RA preferred).
- Proven experience in a financial role, 3‑5 years accounting/financial analysis experience required.
- Familiarity with Dutch GAAP concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting and finance field, including cost accounting.
- Proficient in financial software and knowledge of MS Excel, Power BI, Word, Teams and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Dutch, is required.
