Principal Financial Accountant

Overview

We are looking for an strong Principal Financial Controller for the new BD legal entities in the Netherlands and Belgium.

• Responsibility for accounting and month-end close activities, including oversight of transactional processing by the shared service organization (SSO), for a group of M&A entities in the Netherlands and Belgium
• Responsibility for Statutory, VAT and TAX compliance of the M&A entities in the Netherlands and Belgium
• Drive integration of M&A entities into future Waters controls and processes

Education:

Full membership of recognized accounting body; or equivalent accounting / tax qualification

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a European Accounting position
• Audit background in an international audit firm or internal audit function
• Demonstrated relationship with tax authorities in the assigned countries
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP as well as STAT, TAX and VAT rules of the countries in the region, demonstrated both in theory and practice
• SAP, Excel, MS Office package, Blackline

• Fluent Dutch and English language skills (written and spoken)
• Work independently as part of a geographically dispersed team

• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues
• Flexibility and adaptability to work on multiple accounting topics
