Private Credit Associate / Senior Associate / VP – Non-Sponsor Backed Asset-Based Lending

My client is a fast-growing private credit platform managing approximately $1.5B in AUM, and exponentially growing. Their strategy is focused on non-sponsor, senior-secured, asset-based lending, providing bespoke corporate credit and specialty finance solutions backed by hard collateral and structured credit enhancements.

The team targets low to mid-teen returns through downside-protected structures, typically investing $40MM to $200MM per transaction. The platform does not pursue equity ownership, mezzanine capital, distressed turnarounds or cash-burning situations, instead emphasizing strong asset coverage and disciplined underwriting.

This hire will join a lean, high-performing credit team and gain exposure across the full investment lifecycle, including underwriting, financial modeling, credit memo preparation, structuring, documentation review, execution and portfolio monitoring. The group operates as a relatively generalist credit investor across industries.

• 2+ years of investment banking experience, preferably in leveraged finance or debt underwriting with an emphasis on non-LBO financings
• Buyside credit experience considered, though traditional IB training is strongly favored
• Strong credit modeling and covenant structuring skillset
• High cultural alignment and comfort in a collaborative, in-office environment

The entire credit team is based in LA County. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
