About the Role

To enable this shift, our client is seeking a great, highly skilled financial advisor to take over an assigned book of UHNW clients within a defined succession. You will serve as the primary advisor and the connective force between clients, the advisory team, and specialists—leading sophisticated capital markets and comprehensive planning conversations to ensure a high-touch, seamless transition and sustained growth.

Responsibilities
  • Act as an experienced advisor managing existing UHNW client relationships by conducting review meetings and meetings with qualified leads (generated by the firm or self-generated).
  • Oversee core UHNW client relationships with significant revenue impact, handling client service questions and needs; request support for meeting preparation as needed based on capacity.
  • Conduct client review meetings and all other meeting types for Senior Advisors’ top clients and other assigned firm clients.
  • Discuss comprehensive financial plans and advanced planning vehicles appropriate for complex UHNW situations, including the income, gift, and estate tax implications of each planning strategy under consideration.
  • Coordinate the full planning process with clients and their external advisors (e.g., CPAs, attorneys, trustees) to ensure integrated, multi-generational outcomes.
  • Contribute to business development and lead generation through referral-based marketing, COI relationship development, and additional targeted marketing activities; success in these areas will be rewarded.
  • Potentially develop new client relationships and/or train and supervise other staff members as part of team leadership.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years advising UHNW clients; proven track record of retaining and growing complex relationships.
  • Advanced planning expertise; comfort with tax, estate, trust, and philanthropic coordination.
  • Investment acumen across public and private markets; familiarity with alternatives and concentrated stock strategies.
  • Series 65 or CFP is required, designations such as CFA, CPA or JD/LLM are a bonus.
  • Exceptional communication, discretion, and client service orientation; strong compliance record.
Required Skills
  • Lead, manage, and engage directly with a designated group of UHNW clients to best support their financial, investment, estate, and risk outcomes; be directly responsible for retention and relationship depth with assigned key clients.
  • Communicate proactively to understand client needs, objectives, goals, concerns, and planning tools; represent the client with internal stakeholders and external partners to carry out their service goals. Ensure all inbound client communications are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Provide guidance and expert advice to management, clients, and external parties on technical financial planning and investment topics, systems, and process-related matters relevant to UHNW households.
  • Review client investments on a quarterly or semiannual basis to confirm required actions have been taken and that portfolios align with policy, liquidity, tax, and risk considerations.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to determine the best solutions for client or operational issues, taking accountability for decisions and outcomes.
  • Identify concerns, risks, or opportunities within client accounts or households and update, correct, or escalate information proactively to protect the client relationship and firm standards.
Preferred Skills

Note:

This role centers on UHNW relationship management and is a succession opportunity linked to a Large AUM book, with a focus on retention, thoughtful transition, and measured growth.
