Senior Accountant

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year. Full-time, permanent.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This is a permanent, full-time position, providing an excellent opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to contribute to our organization's success.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is required, with a strong background in accounting, focusing on entries, financials, Sage Intacct, and monthly reporting.

• Overseeing the financial operations of the organization, including the maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Managing the entries and general ledger, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Implementing and maintaining the Sage Intacct system, ensuring its effective utilization across the organization.
• Conducting regular financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, providing strategic financial recommendations to senior management.
• Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes and regulations.
• Collaborating with external auditors, providing all required information and addressing any issues raised.
• Mentoring and guiding junior accounting staff, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and other accounting software.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
• High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
