Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Analyst, Financial Compliance
Responsible for providing competent credit analysis for complex lending activities, assistance in training loan staff, and assistance in the completion of special projects and assignments. Analyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to businesses or individuals by performing the following duties:
Essential Functions
- Works with the Chief Credit Officer, Director of Credit Operations, and Credit Officer to assist in the administration of the Bank’s credit function.
- Analyze the complex financial data presented, including the level and trends of pertinent ratios, including but not limited to global debt service capacity.
- Assess compliance of requests with lending policy and applicable regulations, identifying exceptions as appropriate. Reports findings that may have an adverse effect on the loan collateral or the borrower’s ability to repay the loan. Ensuring policy compliance for commercial, consumer, and agricultural credits.
- Identifies borrowing causes, sources of repayment, risk to repayment, and suggest enhancements to mitigate credit risk.
- Spreads financial statements and tax returns regularly to assist lenders in analyzing credits.
- Prepare detailed loan presentations and financial projections for loan committees and management.
- Performs pre-funding and post-funding credit narrative, to be included in bank’s internal analysis program. Ensuring compliance and periodic risk assessments.
- Studies and performs research on economic trends in firm’s industry or branch of industry to predict probable success of new customer.
- Collaborate with lenders in structuring loans, managing credit approval process, and presenting findings in credit decisions.
- Evaluates investigative results, prepares reports of findings, and suggests credit limitations to management.
- Maintains database of customer credit reviews and analysis.
- Perform regular and timely analysis on all loan portfolios related to productivity. Compile and evaluate complex data gathered from multiple sources, identify key data, and ensure a consistent, accurate, useful approach.
- Lead or assist with projects that will consist primarily of credit administration issues and may relate to possible changes in policies and procedures, possible changes as a result of examiner or auditor recommendations.
- Mentor credit analysts to ensure complete understanding of policy and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Banking operations, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of the Core System, Imaging System, Internet, and 10-key calculator.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, calculators, and printers.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, project management, and organizational skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitoring own work to ensure quality.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Working Conditions
- Requires corrected hearing in normal range of effective communication via telephone and alarms
- Must be able to speak English
- May be required to either sit or stand for long periods of time
- May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
