Your role in our mission

As the Manager of Collections Analytics, you will provide data and analytical support for the end-to-end collection activities. You will leverage advanced analytics tools, cutting edge data and techniques to develop collection and recovery strategies for Prosper’s Personal Loan and Credit Card product to improve collections effectiveness, efficiency and experience. A successful candidate should have strong hands‑on analytical skills and a passion for solving problems in innovative and effective ways.

How you'll make an impact
  • Lead reporting and advanced analytics to support collection and recovery strategies and operations for both personal loan and credit card products.
  • Conduct analysis and deliver analytical insights to enable and optimize the end‑to‑end collection and recovery strategies and deliver strong credit performance.
  • Lead the development of loss forecasting models. Continuously evaluate and improve forecasting methodologies by incorporating industry best practices to drive accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Credit Risk, Marketing, Product, Engineering and other cross‑functional teams to implement strategies and monitor strategy performance.
  • Analyze portfolio performance at a granular segment level on an ongoing basis. Identify trends and conduct root‑cause analysis to isolate key performance drivers.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to Collection and Recovery strategy and operations management and broader Prosper community.
  • Bring innovative/out of the box thinking to make recommendations and to approaching/solving problems.
  • Design A/B tests and understand the risk‑return trade‑offs.
  • Continue to innovate by testing new data, analytics approaches and models.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc analysis related to risk management, investor services, product, and operations.
Skills that will help you thrive
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Economics and 6+ years relevant experience OR a Master's degree in above areas with 4+ years relevant experience.
  • Experience in collections, marketing or credit risk management in the consumer lending industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience using machine learning and statistical models to develop strategies.
  • Must have strong proficiency in SQL. Knowledge of R, Python, Tableau, Looker and Knowledge Seeker will be a plus.
  • Strong communication skills – ability to communicate technical subject matter clearly and succinctly to other team members and Senior Management team.
  • Knowledge and experience of segmentation, statistical procedures, and financial analytic tools are required.
  • Strong ownership and motivation to drive business results.
  • Curious to ask questions, probe into reasons and challenge the status quo.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Experience to mentor and lead a team, including management, development, recruiting and review.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

$132,000 - $194,000 a year

Compensation details:
The salary for this position is $132,000 - $194,000 annually, plus bonus and generous benefits. In determining your salary, we will consider your location, experience, and other job‑related factors.
