Finatal is partnered with a PE-backed $250M Renewable Energy Producer in search of a Director of Treasury.
The Director of Treasury manages various financial aspects, including cash and working capital management, risk management, administering banking activities, and general corporate financial planning. The Treasurer leads a range of activities with a primary focus on accurate and timely cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and compliance with debt covenants. Responsibilities include managing the revolving credit facility, maintaining an accurate rolling thirteen-week cash flow forecast, conducting weekly settlement activities with service providers, suppliers, and customers, and managing cash balances across the consolidated corporate group.
Additionally, the Director of Treasury develops and executes financing strategies, ensures adherence to lender reporting requirements, maintains strong relationships with banking partners and stakeholders at the sponsor level, and provides advice on corporate finance matters. The Director of Treasury plays a vital role in maintaining financial stability, forecasting liquidity, assuring compliance with regulations, and supporting informed decision-making within the organization.
Functions
- Manage consolidated group cash and liquidity
- Handle all incoming and outgoing banking transactions on behalf of the company and any subsidiaries
- Lead preparation, accuracy, and continuous improvement of the rolling 13‑week cash flow forecast, ensuring alignment with business operations and financing requirements
- Forecast and administer the revolving credit facility borrowing base and supply & offtake agreement settlement process
- Implement company policies regarding documentation, accounting of receipts and disbursements, as well as settlement with suppliers and customers
- Develop and maintain strong, transparent relationships with lenders, banks, and financial stakeholders
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, operations, and executive leadership to align cash management and strategic financial decisions
- Leadership experience in corporate treasury functions, preferably while working with revolving credit facilities or asset‑backed loans
- Expertise in cash forecasting, liquidity management, covenant compliance, and debt management in complex, multi‑entity environments
- Detailed knowledge of financial legislation and practices
- Accuracy when computing and managing numbers
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; detail‑oriented with ability to translate forecasts into actionable recommendations
- Proven leadership and decision‑making abilities in a business setting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, Master’s degree preferred
- 10-15+ years of progressive treasury and corporate experience, with direct experience in cash forecasting, debt covenant compliance, and credit facility management (can span both public accounting and direct company experience) required
- Knowledge or experience in the energy or agricultural industry is preferred
