Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Overview

This role is with a leading construction services firm headquartered in Orange County, CA. We’re partnering with The Hiring Advisors to find a Corporate Controller to join an expanding finance team. You’ll lead accounting operations, manage a talented team, and help shape a best-in-class finance organization in a company recognized for its integrity, compassion, and customer focus.

🌟 What You’ll Do

• Oversee corporate accounting operations and manage a team of accountants
• Drive process improvements across month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles
• Manage M&A accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger activities
• Partner with auditors and ensure the timely delivery of financial statements and tax filings
• Implement automation and internal controls to ensure 98% accuracy in financial reporting
• Support key strategic initiatives and acquisition integrations
• Provide insights and leadership in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

🌟 What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of accounting experience within private equity-backed organizations
• Public accounting experience is a huge plus
• Bachelor’s in Accounting
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and corporate finance operations
• Experience with multi-location or multi-entity environments
• Familiarity with MS Dynamics 365, Salesforce
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• High energy, ownership mindset, and a passion for building strong teams
