Our client, a specialized private credit shop is seeking a Director of Originations to lead debt financing efforts for the technology sector. The role focuses on providing flexible capital solutions—including senior secured debt, unitranche, and subordinated debt—to mid‑market software (SaaS), fintech, and tech‑enabled service companies.

The Director will be responsible for sourcing primary deal flow from private equity sponsors, venture capital firms, and direct founder relationships.

• Direct Deal Flow: Primary responsibility for sourcing senior debt and mezzanine opportunities within the B2B software and technology sectors.
• Sponsor Coverage: Maintain active relationships with mid‑market private equity sponsors and VC firms focused on technology investments.
• Capital Solutioning: Negotiate and structure term sheets for recurring revenue loans, growth debt, and leveraged buyouts (LBOs).

  Lead the initial credit screening and structuring of deals; collaborate with the investment committee and underwriting team to finalize risk assessments.
• Metric Analysis: Evaluate specialized tech KPIs including LTV/CAC ratios, churn rates, Gross Retention, and Rule of 40 performance.
• Closing Management: Drive the deal process from initial outreach through due diligence, legal documentation, and funding.

• Industry Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert at technology and private credit conferences to build the fund’s brand.
• Portfolio Strategy: Identify emerging tech sub‑sectors for capital deployment based on market cycles and risk appetite.
• Cross‑Functional Input: Provide real‑time market feedback to the Product and Risk teams to refine lending criteria and pricing models.

• Experience: 8–12+ years in Private Credit, Venture Debt, or Tech‑Focused Commercial Lending.
• Network: Verified track record of sourcing deals within the technology ecosystem, specifically for companies with $10MM–$100MM ARR.
• Financial Modeling: Expert‑level understanding of leveraged finance, cash‑flow modeling, and asset‑backed structures.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a technical field; MBA or CFA preferred.
