Director of Finance, Financial Services

Overview

World Investment Advisors is currently seeking a Director of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership and oversight to drive the financial health and performance of the organization. The Director of Finance will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering data-driven insights to support executive decision-making. This role will play a key part in optimizing capital structure, enhancing profitability, and supporting sustainable growth within the dynamic landscape of the financial services industry.

• Create forecasts that get updated on a regular basis (e.g., monthly or quarterly).
• Lead the annual budgeting process, including building templates and tools to obtain input from unit leaders and department heads.
• Load budget data into Net Suite and review budgets with unit leaders and department heads.
• Provide detailed analysis of budget vs. actuals each month; review variances and discuss opportunities to grow revenue or improve margins.
• Prepare board materials to support leadership in board meetings.
• Improve analytical reporting capabilities in collaboration with Accounting; ensure data accuracy and transition acquisitions into standard FP&A processes.
• Identify data sources to enhance analytical capabilities and support cross-functional decision making.
• Support Accounting on miscellaneous projects.
• Participate in the M&A process to help evaluate acquisition targets.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting, from a credible college or university.
• Excellent technology and communication skills; ability to work independently and manage time effectively; self-starter with a collaborative approach to process improvement.

The salary for this position generally ranges between $170,000-$180,000 and is eligible for up to a 15% annual bonus based on qualifications and operational needs.
