Location: California

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Finance Manager to lead our finance operations and actively involve in the financial integration of a newly acquired EMS company. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring robust financial processes, regulatory compliance, inventory control, and cross-functional coordination with Sales, Supply chain, Manufacturing, HR and logistics. You will lead a small but capable team ensuring alignment with business goals and statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities Core Finance & Accounting Operations
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring policy compliance, credit controls, and reconciliations
  • Supervise inventory accounting – valuation, costing, consumption analysis, WIP and GRN tracking
  • Ensure accurate and timely month‑end and year‑end GL closure, including sub‑ledger reconciliation and provisions
  • Lead fixed asset management: capitalization, depreciation, CWIP, and physical verification
Taxation & Compliance
  • Oversee timely compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, PT, and other statutory requirements
  • Ensure preparation, validation, and filing of GST returns, ITC reconciliations, and TDS returns
  • Manage GST audits, notices, and vendor compliance documentation
  • Handle tax payments and statutory audit readiness
Payroll & Employee Reimbursements
  • Coordinate payroll accounting and reclassification entries with HR
  • Ensure statutory payroll compliance and monthly reviews of payroll liabilities
  • Oversee reimbursement processing, approval workflows, and policy compliance
Banking & Treasury Operations
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, LC/BG management
  • Manage foreign trade transactions: IDPMS, EDPMS closures, 15CA/CB, BOE monitoring
  • Coordinate with banks for credit card transactions and interest accounting
ERP/Automation and Process Improvement
  • Standardize processes and reporting frameworks across entities – in AR, AP & Inventory Management
  • Automation of financial processes & Workflows-using customized solutions in the ERP system
  • Align inventory and fixed asset policies and controls across locations
  • Operationalized Policy/Guidelines in collaboration with business owners
MIS & Reporting
  • Ensure timely generation of monthly financials, KPIs, and reports from ERP
  • Review reports related to AR/AP aging, stock movement, consumption variances, and project costs
  • Drive cost control through financial insights and variance analyses
  • Review periodic financial KPIs in collaboration with Business team
Insurance & Risk Coordination
  • Liaise with brokers to ensure adequate coverage – D&O, Marine, Fire, Fixed Assets, and Transit
  • Review policy terms, renewals, and support claim documentation and accounting
Logistics Interface
  • Coordinate with logistics/CHA for exports and ensure timely duty payments for imports
  • Monitor compliance with BOE reconciliations and export incentives (e.g., duty drawback)
Preferred Candidate Profile
  • Experience:

    12‑15 years in manufacturing or EMS industry with strong exposure to operations finance
  • Qualification:

    Chartered Accountant (CA) or a Cost Accountant (ICMA) with post‑qualification experience
  • Hands‑on knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Tally Prime, ERP Next, or equivalent)
  • Strong foundation in GST, TDS, inventory accounting, and statutory audit processes
  • Leadership experience managing distributed teams and working cross‑functionally
  • Prior exposure to M&A or post‑acquisition integration is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical and decision‑making skills
  • Process‑oriented, with focus on internal controls and compliance
  • Excellent communication and coordination across departments (HR, SCM, Manufacturing, Sales & Logistics)
  • Proactive, self‑motivated leader with the ability to mentor a growing team
