This role is with an innovative biotechnology company. The Senior Cost Accounting Manager will join the finance team in either San Diego or El Segundo, California, reporting to the Director of Cost Accounting. The position leads cost-related activities supporting manufacturing, supply chain, and product operations and involves cross-functional collaboration to support breakthrough immunotherapy solutions. The role follows a hybrid model with 2 days onsite per week and quarterly travel to the Los Angeles-area headquarters.
Compensation& Benefits
Base pay range
: $/yr - $/yr
Salary: $147,800 – $165,000 (commensurate with experience and location)

Relocation:

- Manage the end-to-end cost accounting processes for manufacturing and supply chain, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare, validate, and analyze standard cost reports, BOMs, and product cost variances.
- Investigate inventory adjustments and discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Partner with internal teams on new product costing, physical inventories, and budgeting cycles.
- Support ERP cost roll updates and ongoing data integrity in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Lead or support ad hoc analyses, cost studies, and cross-functional financial projects.
- Collaborate with quality, supply chain, and operations stakeholders to align financial practices with business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Minimum 7 years of cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience
- Strong experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)
- Prior experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and communicate with operational teams
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; must be detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
